Brian,
I know this is rather lenghthy, but perhaps you could simply forward this to all of our prayer warriors at First Baptist and I will forward it to all my friends as well. If everyone they know can share this with their friends...well...you know what prayer can do.
By the way...Lynn Bryant is my sister who lives in Joplin, MO.

Lynn,
Surgery will take approx. 6-8 hours. The Dr. said it is genetic and past thru from blood lines. This type of thing is suppose to be rare. We are guessing it is from the baby's father's side because there isn't anything like this from my side of the family. The baby will be retarded if this is not taken care of. The baby's skull is suppose to be soft and stretch for the brain to develop and grow. I believe a child's skull hardens around 2 years old. The Dr. can't tell at this time if there is any brain damage, till he gets older. We should be home about 4 days after surgery if everything goes ok.
I will keep you inform as I hear anything. The Dr. said we should know something before the day is out.
Thank you Lynn for your support, that is why I immediately wrote you. I know you have power in your prayers.
Kevin, the baby's dad, is in between jobs. Money is tight for them anyway. I will take care of them as much as I can, but feeding two extra grown people I know will be expensive. I told my daughter not to worry about gas or getting to KC because i will make sure the baby gets there. I feel for the baby and the pain he will go through, but the end result will be worth it. The Dr. said when the baby grows up, he will need to consider ever having children because their chances of this happening to his children will be high.
Thank you for the reminder of the prayer to use me as a vessel! I will make God proud of me.
Jeannie

NANCI DEKEYREL (4.16)
A while back I asked for prayer for a friend and former neighbor, Tina Dean. Below is her message concerning what all has happened to her Aunt. Please continue to pray for the family.
Thanks Nanci. I just wanted to give you all an update on my aunt. My lovely Aunt Sharon passed away on Sunday. Her funeral services will be on Saturday in Weatherford Texas. I will be traveling tomorrow to Texas with my mother, my two sisters and their significant others. We will stay in Texas until Tuesday. I would like to ask for your continued prayers for the family. This is a very difficult time for everyone. There is a lot of family traveling in so can you please also pray for their safe travel. My mother is having an extremely difficult time with the passing of her sister. She and Aunt Sharon were only 18 months apart in age and were as close as two people can be. Please pray for peace and comfort especially for my mother. She has had a very difficult time working so my sister’s and I are helping her out financially and emotionally (at least as best as we can). Thank you to all of you for your friendship and concern every day and especially with your prayers. Love You All! Tina

Hey everyone, the following URGENT Prayer Request is from a former neighbor and (still current) friend of mine and many of yours. I will try to keep you posted on this situation as I become made aware. Thanks in advance for all your prayers for this situation. Nanci
From: "Dean, Tina"
Nanci,
I know I have not been a great responder to all the emails, but I do appreciate receiving them. I am in an hour of need. My family needs prayer NOW. My mom’s sister has been on life-support since Monday after sustaining a heart-attack and her husband and son will be meeting with the doctors within the hour to make a decision. My mother’s family is VERY close and they are having a very difficult time. There are eleven siblings in my mother’s family and all the sisters spent the week in Ft. Worth waiting for their beloved sister to wake up, unfortunately this did not happen!
I am asking for prayer, God’s will in this matter and peace amongst the family. Please send this to all your Christian contacts.
Thank you,
Tina

I've had a really bad weekend and it didn't get any better today. In fact it got worse, I will be looking for another job, real soon. One of my bosses copied the email addresses that were on my daily bible verse (Encouraging Word, from KLOVE) and he sent out a company Easter greeting with a marketing tool just below. Someone who got it took offense, so I sent out an apology to everyone who got. Unfortunately, I inadvertently copied this boss on that apology. He took more offense to my apology, saying that anyone who took offense to the company sending out an Easter greeting was not very Christian. He said that he questioned my commitment to the company for apologizing for his company Easter greeting. He took more offense as I referred to him as the "owner soon to be husband", I did not know that she had made him co-owner. He eventually stopped yelling and we did talk some. He also sent out a rebuttal to my apology. He went to a meeting, but when he came back he sent me home to "think about my commitment to the company" and told me that I am now on probation. The owner of the company is out sick, to my knowledge she knew nothing of what had gone on. He did say that we will "talk" tomorrow, I really feel that there won't be much talking, he will be the one to do all the talking, my side will be mute. He is not one to agree to disagree. I really need to find another job.
I give thanks for any support/prayer y'all send my way...Nanci DeKeyrel

Joy is a new mommy, with a killer head ache, who can't take the regular meds because she is nursing. She has a history of migraines.
Baby London is suffering from a stuffy nose and the mucus in his tummy is making him loose his milk while coughing up the phlem. His big brother, Clayton (14 months) is cutting teeth and has the runny nose and bowels that come with that. Poor daddy James is up all night taking care of all three of them.
As you can see they all need prayer.
I Have a praise too.
The First Southern Baptist Church of Porterville has called James to be their asso. pastor in charge of Missions and Sr. Adult Ministeries !!!
Now that James has a job, they will be looking for a house of their own and will be able to move out of James' parents house . You could pray about all the stuff connected to that too.
Thanks in advance.

Melinda Sterry is a friend of mine, I met her family here at the church we attend. She and her husband were transferred about a year ago to Colorado. They left their oldest son, his wife, Crystal, and their granddaughter, Samantha. Samantha is about 4 or so, at the oldest she might be in kindergarten. There were several times that Melinda took custody of Samantha after she was born, mostly to do with her son's ability to support his daughter and once when Crystal had a stroke. I know that she is beside herself with worry about this whole thing.
Nanci DeKeyrel
I just found out this morning that Samantha is in state custody...............I don't have much for information except that crystal and her new fiancé both got in trouble with drugs and the state took Sam! PLEASE PRAY FOR US! <>I need to stay strong and try to get Sam with us. My first concern of course is if she is OK, she has to be so scared and confused and that breaks my heart. I'm scared for her and really need God to work some miracles here so I can help do what is best for Samantha. <>Please pray I can get someone to talk to me from St George DCFS, they have not returned my phone calls yet and the more time that passes the more I get upset. I don't know what to do and I need the wisdom and patience to get this worked out.
Love you all and thank you,
Melinda

DONNA HARPOLE (2.5)
This is from Becci Craig for her husband Tommy:
We need you to pray again for Tommy please! We are back at Loma Linda because he has some inflamation of the Dura (lining of the brain) and he has "6th/7th nerve palsy" which means he has double vision and the left side of his face is somewhat paralyzed. They have done X-Rays, CT scans, and an MRI. The Dr.s have not begun treatment as they are not convinced what the appropriate plan of attack is going to be. They are supposed to do a spinal tap today; however, we are still waiting to see the Dr. this morning to confirm this. Please pray for his morale along with his physical well-being. His spirits are so low. This is so very frustrating to him to be sitting here stuck in the hospital and nothing even being done after 4 days to even attempt to treat the symptoms. Pray for the Dr.s to have wisdom and discernment, and for us to be patient. We have grown closer and stronger, but it is very very hard on Tommy.
Thank you so much for your prayers.
